Biography

Born in Gaza City in 2002, Nour Elassy is a Palestinian poet and journalist who grew up in the Tuffah neighbourhood.

After 7 October 2023, she was displaced with her family to Deir al-Balah. She shares her poetry in French, English and Arabic.

Her work has appeared in Al Jazeera, The New Humanitarian and Mediapart.

Evacuated to France in July 2025, she now studies at EHESS in Paris.

Her first collection, Ceci est ma maison (هذا بيتي), was published on 9 September 2026 by Les Liens qui Libèrent, with a foreword by Mona Chollet and an afterword by Karim Kattan.
