Nour Elassy is a Palestinian poet and journalist, born in Gaza in 2002. She has written numerous press articles (Mediapart, The New Humanitarian, Al Jazeera, AOC and The New Arab) and published Ceci est ma maison in September 2026, her first poetry collection translated into French.
She gained recognition through the publication of her poems and her work as a journalist. From Gaza, she covered the reality of the genocide for Associated Press through television and photographic reports that travelled around the world. Her work offers both a humanitarian and political perspective on the genocide, revealing the reality experienced by Palestinians in Gaza and amplifying the voice and spirit of resistance of Palestinian youth.
Nour was evacuated from Gaza on 9 July 2025. She now lives in Paris, where she studies at EHESS.
